Our Favourite Sustainable Womenswear in NZ
Waste is prevalent in every part of the fashion industry, as a result of overproduction and over consumption. Waste in the fashion industry is an increasing concern for many and we as consumers and citizens can do our bit in shopping smarter. It’s said that textile waste is to increase by 60% between now and 2030.
The reason why there is so much waste in landfills is because fast fashion industry’s over produce due to changing trends. Once something goes out of style, it no longer is popular therefore is not sold. Which in turn is discarded to waste. The toxic system of consumerism has resulted to fashion becoming the largest polluters of this planet.
Below are a few of our favourite fashion brands that produce ethically. These brands take measures to reduce waste and contribute to a cleaner, sustainable planet.
